Once I fought to conquer sin

While it reigned my soul within;
Till my Saviour came one day:

When He heard my pleading call
And He took my sins away,

Christ the Saviour took my sins away
f Contentment fills my soul
His Spirit has control.
Since Jesus took my sins away.

In that happy, blessed hour
When my Saviour spoke to me.
And I heard the precious word
From this wonder working Lord,
When from sin He set me free.
- mf Are you struggling for the right,
Jesus has the pow'r and might;
He will help you conquer sin;
He will take its pow'r away.
He will come with you to stay.
And will give you peace within.
