UNBELIEVABLE TESTIMONIES

Memorise:
When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. .. Psalm 126:1

Read:
Psalm 126:1-3

Message

Today's memory verse says that when God turned the captivity of Zion, it was like a dream. When God gives you some testimonies, you might pinch yourself from time to time to be sure that you are awake and not dreaming. In Psalm 23:5, David said, "Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:..." That testimony was good enough, but then he went ahead to say, "...thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over." I am sure that some of the people around him asked, "What kind of testimony is this? Brother, are you sure you are not exaggerating?"

I'll share one of such testimonies with you. While I was a lecturer at the University of llorin, my wife and I had this teapot from which we could pour five cups of tea, Whenever we wanted to eat breakfast, my wife and I would fill the pot. After we have both had two cups of tea, the first person to finish the second cup of tea would usually go for the last cup. On one occasion, the teapot was full as usual, and after we had both had two cups of tea, we discovered that the pot was empty! As we looked at each other with a confused look on our faces, the Lord said to me, "When you were praying, you said, 'Lord, bless this food, join us as we eat' I thought you invited me." I was thrilled to learn that the Lord Jesus joined us for breakfast. However, when I shared this testimony, the brethren looked at me like I had gone crazy because I said that Jesus drank tea. It became an embarrassment, such that I had to cry to God to show me a similar incident from the Scriptures. Then, He showed me that in John 21, after Jesus had risen from the dead, He appeared to the disciples, and they joined Him at the shore and ate fish and bread with Him. The Lord said that after He rose from the dead, He could eat fish and bread, and if they had tea, He could have drank it with them also.

Beloved, God is able to do exceeding abundantly above your wildest imagination (Ephesians 3:20). | pray for you today that He will give you a testimony that people will find difficult to believe when you share it, in Jesus' name,

Prayer Point:

King James Version

Psalm 126:1-3

A Song of degrees. When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. [2] Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them. [3] The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
RCCG Hymn

There shall be showers of

  1. "There shall be showers of blessing:"
    This is the promise of love;
    there shall be seasons relreshing,
    Sent from the Saviour above.

  2. Showers of blessing,
    Showers of blessing we need;
    Mercy drops round us are falling.
    Bitt for the showers ive plead.

  3. "There shall be showers of blessing"
    Precious reviving again;
    Over the hills and the valleys,
    Sound of abundance of rain.
  4. "There shall be showers of blessing:"
    Send them upon ns. Oh Lord!
    Grant to us now a refreshing:
    Come and now honour Thy Word.
  5. "There shall be showers of blessing:"
    Oh, that today they might fall.
    Now, as to God, we're confessing.
    No was on Jesus we call!
  6. "There shall be showers of blessing:"
    If we but trust and obey;
    There shall be seasons relresliing.
    If we let God have His way.
