THE JOY OF HOPE

Memorise:
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. .. Romans 5:5

Read:
Psalm 130:5-7

Message

My Helper is alive, and He does not change (Hebrews 13:8). He is Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the One who was, is and is to come (Revelation 1:8). He has helped me thus far, and He will help me until the end. This is my hope and confidence.

It is dangerous to be hopeless; never lose hope. In 1 King 19:1-8, when things were not going the way Elijah expected them to go, he asked God to kill him. However, in 1 Kings 21:1-24, you will see in verse 20 that Ahab, whom he had been running from, said to him, "Have you found me my enemy." The one who was pursuing Elijah was now the one running away from him. In the name of the Lord of hosts.al those who have been pursuing you will run when they see you. Don't let anybody tell you that your case is hopeles they are not your God, and they are not the ones who brought you this far. If they say it is too late for you, tell then that they don't control time. God is the One who controls times and seasons, and He didn't bring you this far to abandon you.

God's word is a treasure chest of hope. Whenever a situation seems hopeless, declare His word. He has said that though your beginning was small, your latter end will greatly increase (Job 8:7). His word also says that nothing is impossible with Him (Luke 1:37). Since God is involved in your life, every impossibility becomes possible, in Jesus name. He has promised to bless and increase you and your children greatly (Psalm 115:14). He also said that as long as you follow Him uprightly, your end will be peace (Psalm 37:37).

   Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.    ...Romans 15:13

God is the God of hope. When He gives a man hope. He accompanies that hope with joy and peace. In His presence there is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11). Beloved, anything that makes you feel hopeless is not of God, it wants to suck out your joy and make you lose your peace - don't allow it. Stay in the word of God and put on your garment of praise. I pray that today, you will receive good news that will make you full of hope and joy, in Jesus' name.

Hymn:
My Hope Is Built On Nothing Less

Action Point:
Spend some time reading about God's promises concerning the situations or thing or things you feel hopeless about.

King James Version

Psalm 130:5-7

I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. [6] My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning. [7] Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.
RCCG Hymn

My hope is built on nothing less

  1. My hope is built on nothing less
    Than Jesus' blood and righteousness;
    I dare not trust the sweetest frame.
    But wholly lean on Jesus name.

  2. On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
    All other ground is sinking sand.
    All other ground is sinking sand.

  3. When darkness seems to veil His face,
    I rest on His unchanging grace;
    In every high and stormy gale.
    My anchor holds within the veil.
  4. His oath. His covenant, and blood.
    Support me in the whelming flood;
    When all around my soul gives way,
    He then is all my hope and stay
  5. When He shall come with trumpet sound,
    s Oh, may I then in Him be found;
    Dressed in His righteousness alone.
    Faultless to stand before the throne.
